We The People

Written by Rev. John A. Harrison
Descendant of
Benjamin Harrison V (Signer of The Declaration of Independence), William Henry Harrison and Benjamin Harrison (The 9th and 23rd Presidents of The United States)

One Nation Under God.

What did our founding fathers base the laws of this country on?

As to Jesus of Nazareth, my opinion of whom you particularly desire, I think the system of morals and His religion as He left them to us, the best the world ever saw or is likely to see.” Benjamin Franklin, signer of The Declaration Of Independence

While we are zealously performing the duties of good citizens and soldiers, we certainly ought not to be inattentive to the higher duties of religion. To the distinguished character of Patriot, it should be our highest glory to add the more distinguished character of Christian.”
George Washington, 1st President

I do invite the people, upon that day to cease from their labors, to meet in their accustomed houses of worship and to join in rendering gratitude and praise to our beneficent Creator for the rich blessings He has granted to us as a nation, and in invoking the continuance of His protection and grace for the future.”
Benjamin Harrison 23rd President

I verily believe Christianity necessary to the support of civil society. One of the beautiful boasts of our municipal jurisprudence is that Christianity is a part of the Common Law … There never has been a period in which the Common Law did not recognize Christianity as lying its foundations.”
– Supreme Court Justice Joseph Story, Harvard Speech, 1829

"In my view, the Christian religion is the most important and one of the first things in which all children, under a free government, ought to be instructed… No truth is more evident to my mind than that the Christian religion must be the basis of any government intended to secure the rights and privileges of a free people…” Noah Webster

God's Answer For America

if my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14

What do we need to do?

1. Believe that Jesus died on a cross for your sins, and that He rose again from the dead.

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Rom 5:8

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” Rom 10:9

2. Ask God to forgive you.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9
